About Sarah Edwards MS

Sarah Edwards is the Member of the Senedd for Carmarthenshire, elected in 2026 to represent the communities of the Towy Valley and rural Carmarthenshire.

Sarah’s path into politics began not with ambition for office, but with her community. She became involved in the campaign against the pylons and energy infrastructure proposed across the Towy Valley, standing alongside the farming families and residents who felt decisions were being made about their countryside without their voices being heard. That experience convinced her that rural Carmarthenshire needed stronger, more determined representation, and she stood for the Senedd to provide it.

Since her election, Sarah has focused on the issues that matter most to the people she represents: standing up for farmers and rural communities, scrutinising energy and infrastructure proposals that affect the county, and ensuring that Carmarthenshire’s voice is heard in Cardiff Bay. She serves on the Senedd’s Economy, Energy and Connectivity Committee, where she holds the Welsh Government to account on the decisions shaping the future of rural Wales.

Sarah is committed to being a visible, accessible representative across the constituency in its towns, its villages, and its farming communities alike.
