Following the Welsh Government’s latest Bluetongue virus alert, Gareth Beer MS has demanded that Cardiff Bay provide full vaccine backing and emergency financial safeguards for agricultural communities across Sir Gaerfyrddin.
Carmarthenshire Senedd Member Gareth Beer warned that agricultural businesses in the region cannot afford further regulatory hurdles or uncompensated restrictions as biosecurity risks mount across border routes.
Gareth said: “Carmarthenshire farmers are already facing enough pressure without the added threat of Bluetongue.
“The Minister must act now to ensure access to vaccines, clear guidance and financial support for those affected.”
