On Monday 27th July, I spent the afternoon with Sarah Edwards MS and the Carmarthen Coracle & Netsmen’s Association who are being seriously impacted by the pollution levels in the River Tywi.
A fishing tradition dating back centuries, they now face unprecedented risks with salmon and sewin stocks depleting to all-time lows, as well as licenses and material costs soaring.
We will be raising this issue in the Senedd when we return in September.
